B-Irrigation Systems
A KRAFT specially designed irrigation system is recommended if the footing materials are organic in nature.

Type A: Irrigation Over Walking Area*
The irrigation sprinkler is mounted to one hanging/rotating gate.

Type B: Irrigation Over Walking Area & Lunging Ring*
Water lines divide in the center. One side irrigates the walking surface with one sprinkler, the other side irrigates the lunging ring with 2 to 3 sprinklers.

*3/4″ water supply. Type A and B require approximately 3 bar water pressure. A freeze proof water faucet must be provided near the entrance by the client. Pipes must be drained in the winter.
Type C: Irrigation Over The Lunging Area*
A 360 degree sprinkler is mounted to the ceiling with a range of up to 9 m (30′).

Type D: Irrigation For Oval Horse Walker*
The outer fence is equipped with steel
or PVC pipes. Sprinklers are attached
every 2 – 3m (6.5′ to 10′) and irrigate
the walking surface.

C-Wind & Weather Protection
KRAFT offers wind screens and double-walled wind shields in order to protect the walking surface from wind and weather. We exclusively use high strength materials. All wind screens are pre-fabricated with reinforced seams.

Wind shields offer additional protection on the inside of the walking surface. They are made of 20 mm (3/4″) thick double-walled panels.

D-Rubber Floor Covering
Experts have analyzed footing materials for years. Everyone has their own philosophy and opinion. The same is true for horse walkers. We recommend installation of a rubber floor on the concrete slab. Not all rubber is the same though. We offer the proper blend in order to ensure the best footing as well as being slip resistant.

E-Concrete Foundation
Foundations are crucial and essential components of any structure! For walkers they are typically provided by the client and according to KRAFT blueprints.
KRAFT will provide grading and concrete services upon request. Detailed blueprints are available for all types and sizes of KRAFT Horse Walkers.
General practice is that our clients do the grading work and cover the building site with gravel up to an area which is 2 m (6.5′) larger than the actual size.
